Github’s electron-built desktop version had more users than its classic version. Since its launching, it had been gaining more popularity because of its simplicity and unified user experience. A year ago, almost 73% of Github users were on classic version and remaining were on electron-built desktop version. Between January and April 2018, electron-built version had grabbed around 55% of users using Github.
Github’s electron- built beta version announced in May 2017 and its reliable version was officially available in September 2017 after removing bugs, adding features.
